There is nothing more important to us than our residents and our team. An essential part of that team is our volunteers. Volunteers are an integral part of life at our facility, bringing the outside world in for our residents. Some volunteers are here weekly, others come occasionally, and many groups come for a one-time visit. All are welcome and greatly appreciated by our residents.
Sharing part of yourself is the best gift you can give a resident and can be personally satisfying for you. Our residents are each very special and enjoy meaningful relationships and opportunities to participate in exciting activities.
Current COVID requirements. Dobie Road will need to know volunteers’ vaccine status to determine COVID testing protocols. Being vaccinated is not a requirement to be a volunteer, but testing is per CDC and CMS guidelines for long-term care facilities.
Volunteers must have a temperature and questionnaire completed when entering the facility.
Volunteers must have a rapid test if the facility is in outbreak status or can show proof of test if they were tested within 72 hours before coming to the facility. If the facility is not in the outbreak status, volunteers need to test if they are not up to date with COVID vaccines. Up to date means they have received a primary series and ALL eligible boosters.
Masks are always required regardless of vaccination status.
Eye protection must be worn by volunteers for all resident encounters.
